Known Future was founded in October 2002 by Dan Winfield. Dan comes from a background of computing start-ups. In 1995 he co-founded IMM Studios, one of the first Internet consultancies to focus on web application programming, with clients including JP Morgan, Tesco, 365 Corporation, Arsenal, Volkswagen, Ford and Zanussi.

Originally Known Future was focussed on providing expertise related to the use of virtualisation technology in data centres. However in early 2004 the team became interested in VoIP technologies and as a result started the VoxHub service. The original work and knowledge gathered from virtualisation is currently in use today in our own data centre.

Known Future is now a fully fledged next generation telecommunications company. With skills in telecoms, software development and service creation, Known Future plan to re-invent the traditional telephone by bringing it up to date with Internet technologies.
